Important Economic News For Los Angeles.. 4,000 New Jobs! So Let The Construction Begin

Top Of  The Morning!

We have reason to cue up the music this morning..4,000 new jobs are being created …from the most expensive record breaking project in our city’s history that started this week at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) .

We cannot overemphasize how important this is..the loss of jobs and its affect on people’s lives is devastating and when we see 4,000 NEW jobs being created we have reason to be happy for said jobs creation…..thinking of how many lives/families will benefit. Let us not forget that WE all are affected in different ways by job layoffs., we are all in this together, one way or another.  New Jobs….create new spending which creates and keeps other jobs…this is the true trickle down theory. As silly as this sounds…that extra refreshment that you buy or don’t buy at an event has a financial impact.

Construction began Monday on the $1.5 billion Tom Bradley International Terminal expansion at LAX, which was touted as the most expensive project in the city’s history.
Plans call for adding more than 1million square feet to the terminal and building nine new airline gates capable of handling the next generation of super-sized jetliners, such as the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The massive terminal expansion, dubbed “Bradley West,” is expected to be completed by mid-2013. It will be funded primarily by the sale of airport bonds and fees charged to the airlines and passengers passing through Los Angeles International Airport.
